5.6.4 Childcare facilities for students

Boğaziçi University aims to support the continuation of university education, especially for new mothers, by providing childcare facilities for students. In this context, there are childcare services for students both on and off campus. These services provide an environment where student-parents studying in both undergraduate and graduate programmes can safely entrust their children. Childcare facilities not only provide safe and quality care, but also offer activities and educational programmes that contribute to the physical, mental and social development of children. Managed by trained and experienced staff, these facilities offer programmes designed to meet the needs of the children. Thus, student-parents can be sure that their children are receiving quality education and care while focusing on their studies and academic work.

These facilities offered by the university are provided as a paid service, and various payment options are also offered so that student-parents can benefit from childcare services without straining their budgets. In addition, the university aims to make their educational process more accessible and manageable by providing supportive services and resources to meet the needs of student-parents. These childcare facilities are part of Boğaziçi University's mission to support students' academic success and provide the necessary conditions for them to realise their full potential. For new mothers in particular, these facilities provide an important support mechanism for balancing both academic and parenting responsibilities. In this way, new mothers can continue their university education without interruption and take important steps towards achieving their career goals.
