SCHOLARSHIP OFFICE COORDINATION OFFICE
Sustainable economic growth cannot be achieved without social participation, as the whole of society plays a role in the development of a country. Boğaziçi University Scholarship Office Coordinatorship was established on November 1, 1995, as a direct subordinate of the Rectorate to carry out scholarship procedures. Today, it continues its activities under the Department of Health, Culture, and Sports.
Boğaziçi University offers scholarship opportunities in order to prevent its students from being in a difficult situation due to a lack of means and, at the same time, to reward their success.
Undergraduate students studying at Boğaziçi University are awarded scholarships based on merit and need.
Merit Scholarships are scholarships based on success in university entrance. The types and criteria of these scholarships are determined each year by the university board.
Need-based scholarships are scholarships based on financial need. Boğaziçi University students can benefit from cash scholarships, book scholarships, food scholarships, and dormitory scholarships according to their needs and can receive one or more of these scholarships at the same time. Cash scholarships are provided by BÜVAK, BUVAKIF, and other foundations, institutions, and organisations. A student may receive more than one material scholarship according to his/her needs, but not more than one cash scholarship. Successful completion of the Language Preparatory School in one year is a prerequisite. Ambassadorial Scholarships are awarded for 9 months, from October to June. Students with disabilities are given priority when applying for a scholarship. The application process for Boğaziçi University Scholarships begins at the beginning of each academic year, before classes begin. Applications are announced on the Scholarship Office website. Students should check the Scholarship Office website for available scholarships and the application process.
