The University has developed comprehensive strategies for 2022 to measure and set targets for sustainable transport alternatives such as public transport, walking, cycling, car sharing and electric vehicles.

Transport Between Campuses: Boğaziçi University offers free shuttle buses for students and employees to easily travel between campuses. These shuttles provide convenient transport for on and off-campus activities such as seminars, libraries, laboratories, sports complexes. Shuttle times and routes are regularly optimised and these services are heavily used by the entire campus community.

Cycling and WalkingCycling and pedestrian transport are encouraged on campus. Boğaziçi University supports environmentally friendly transport options by investing in infrastructure such as bicycle parking spaces and safe walking paths. In this context, various awareness-raising campaigns and events are organised to increase the use of bicycles.

Car Sharing and Electric Vehicles: A platform called Boğaziçi Carpool has been established to encourage car sharing among university employees and students. In addition, charging stations have been established to increase the use of electric vehicles on campus and car parking facilities have been provided for these vehicles.

Public Transport and Shuttle Improvements: In 2022, the university's bus and shuttle services were re-optimised according to the areas where employees reside. This change has led to more efficient use of public transport and increased the number of buses. In addition, the university provides public transport card support for employees who prefer to use public transport.

These practices reflect the important steps taken by Boğaziçi University in line with its sustainable transport goals and the transport facilities provided to the campus community.
